Birthday Gift from Nancy

Hello Everyone. Here are the goodies I received from Nancy on Monday.
Nancy stitched up a very cute bag and pin pillow. She also included a couple of charts
some threads and a hot pad.

Birthday exchange for Joan

I am happy to report that I mailed Joan's package to her last week, and she has confirmed that it arrived, and in speedy fashion. I did not get pictures of it before sending it off, but it made its destination in time before her actual day.

Stitch Red Exchange Complete

The Stitch Red Exchange is now complete. I really enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful pieces that were done. Congrats to all!

Our next exchange will be a Friendship Exchange with a mail date of May 15. I will post about it the first part of April. Until then...Happy Stitching!

Exchange Received From Nancy

The other day this beautiful exchange arrived from Nancy. Nancy chose a beautiful design by Trillium Creates and stitched it using threads by Victoria Motto. It's just so pretty, so thank you again Nancy. Sorry I didn't post earlier, but our power went out last night.

I just wanted to say, these red exchanges are so beautiful, all of them. They are quite inspiring, this is such a beautiful color to stitch with. Have a great Sunday.

I love how personal this is with my initial. It is sitting at my sewing table.

I do owe everyone an apology as the last one to post here. It has been a week filled with a Theology paper, a Greek quiz, and an English reading/lecture, and I am just now getting a chance to get online. Going back to school has been a wonderful, time-filling endeavor, but I make sure to etch out some stitching time whenever possible.

I received the most beautiful pinkeep from Melissa yesterday, I absolutely love it. It is a beautiful framed square with flowers and leaves surrounding my initial, and I love the trim on the side. The sun is down and it's lack will not do justice to the beauty of this piece, so I will get one taken tomorrow and post it.

In addition, my package, mailed Tuesday, came back to me because I did not address it correctly. It went back in the mail today, and I hope fair winds will hurry it on it's way.

Red Exchange from Hazel

I had hurt my back a bit on Sunday. By Thursday I was a sorrowful self and came home early from work. Lo and behold, a package winked at me in our foyer! My Red Exchange from Hazel was there to greet me! 

Hazel stitched this over one and it's just exquisite! It is from AMAP alphabet, on 28 count using Threadworx thread (she documented this well in her note!)  Thank you so much Hazel. You have put a big smile on my face today! 

Trifle From a Friend

I'm glad that Jill resurrected this group and hope that you are all having fun with this exchange. I wasn't sure that I would participate, but now I'm glad I did. Knowing how my package brightened Hazel's day reminded me of just how good it feels to give to others, and yesterday, I was reminded of how wonderful it feels to receive something that was stitched especially for you by a friend!

Suzanne received my name and she stitched this lovely pinkeep for me. The design, Trifle From a Friend, is from Plum Street Samplers (a freebie that was offered on her blog awhile ago.) What is particularly special to me is that the entire design is stitched over one - no one appreciates the work that goes into over one stitching more than one! (My friends will confirm that I only do over one when I have to and I do it kicking and screaming all the way!) Suzanne stitched and finished it perfectly and her gift will sit in a place of honor in my stitching room! Thank you Suzanne!

Redwork received

Yesterday, I received the most beautiful redwork cushion from Cathy. It was a very thoughtful piece as she knew I had been going through a rough patch recently and this cushion just said it all. Thank you so much Cathy. I love it and will treasure it always. xxxxx

I sent off my Red Exchange today. It can take up to 2 weeks from Canada to the US, unbelievable but it happens. I hope my partner will like it!

Red exchange from Jill

Here's the beauty I received from Jill.  Isn't it wonderful?  She took motifs from BBD's Winter, used DMC 115, on 32ct antique white fabric.  I love it and will add it to my stitching tray beside my stitching chair!  Thank you so much Jill.  It was a great pick-me-up after a day at the hospital with my mom. Just got a call from my mom, gotta head up to Tulsa.

I received my wonderful exchange piece from Jill this evening.  I will try and post a photo tomorrow.  My days are pretty full with my mom in hospital in Tulsa.  Thank you so much Jill, I love it!

Red Exchange From Wendy Jo

Here is the Red Exchange I received on Saturday from Wendy Jo. She stitched a Istitch design called Sew Sapphire. Oh course she stitched it in Weeks Dye Works--Garnet.

I received my Stitch Red Exchange today. Marie was my partner and she did a beautiful job.


She says this was a free pattern from Casa Mia back in 2007. It is stitched 1 over 1 on 40ct. linen! Beautiful! I absolutely just love it. I think I definitely have to get that new Dinky Dye scissors that is white with red hearts on it!
